Every job, every crew and every machine, kept together.

Each project has its own record with its people, locations, contractors and everything raised against it. Pre-starts and toolbox talks are recorded where the work happens, plant carries its own history, and rosters, journeys and fatigue rules look after the people doing the work.

Works on its ownProjects, plant and field work works on its own, so if it is all you need it is all you buy, and every other part of Obliwise stays optional.

What projects, plant and field work includes

Everything below comes with it, ready on the first day and yours to change. 37 capabilities

  • Projects

Each job has its own record bringing together its people, locations, contractors and everything raised against it.

  • Pre-starts and toolbox talks

Pre-starts and toolbox talks are recorded with attendance, and a no-go decision raises the follow-up automatically.

  • Defects and pre-start checks

Pre-start checks raise defects against the right item, and defects are tracked through to repair.

  • Rosters and swings

Rotations, swings and crew patterns are set up once and drive inspections, attendance expectations and fatigue checks.

  • Workplace sign-in

Everyone signs in the way that suits each entrance: a code on the wall, a kiosk, a phone or the front desk.

  • Checks before entry

Inductions, licences, medicals and site capacity are checked at the gate, so nobody starts work without what the site requires.

  • Refused-entry alerts

When someone is turned away at the gate, the people who run the site hear about it straight away.

  • Visitors registered ahead

Hosts register visitors in advance, approve arrivals and are told when their guest is at reception.

  • Who's here right now

A live list shows who is on each site at this moment, ready for a muster or a head count.

  • Inductions and talks at sign-in

Inductions, toolbox talks and photo or signature capture happen as part of signing in.

  • Automatic sign-out

People who forget to sign out are signed out at the time you set, so the register stays accurate.

  • Crew sign-in and spot checks

A supervisor signs a whole crew on at once and looks up any worker's standing on the spot.

  • Noticeboard self-sign

A posted notice or talk can be signed by anyone who reads it, inside the window you set.

  • Automatic sign-in by location

Consenting workers are signed on and off as they arrive and leave a site, with a one-tap correction.

  • Kiosk that keeps working offline

The kiosk keeps signing people in when the connection drops, following the rule you choose for missing checks.

  • Lobby kiosk for visitors

A branded lobby tablet greets visitors, runs their induction, prints a badge and tells their host.

  • Hours on site

Time on site adds up automatically into hours worked per site, crew and contractor.

  • Project readiness and high-risk work

High-risk work is listed per project and a readiness check confirms what must be in place before work starts.

  • Journey management

Trips to remote sites are planned, checked in and escalated automatically when someone is overdue.

  • Fatigue management

Hours, shifts and travel are watched against your fatigue rules so tired people are spotted before they start.

  • Meetings and committees

Safety committees and meetings run with agendas, minutes, attendance and actions that are followed up.

  • Plant and equipment register

All plant and equipment sits in one register with its documents, inspections and history.

  • Calibration

Calibration due dates, certificates and your own list of providers are kept with each item.

  • Maintenance

Maintenance is scheduled and recorded against the item it belongs to.

  • Equipment taken out of service

Equipment with a critical defect is blocked from use until it is repaired and cleared.

  • Equipment QR codes

Scanning the code on a machine opens its pre-start, history and defects on the spot.

  • Usage readings and usage-based servicing

Record hours, distance, cycles and fuel for each item, and service and calibration fall due on time or usage, whichever comes first.

  • Work raised by usage

Scheduled work is raised when equipment passes a usage threshold, such as every 250 engine hours.

  • Maintenance jobs

Each maintenance job records who did it, labour hours, parts used, cost and downtime.

  • Spare parts store

Parts are held with stock levels, locations and reorder points, drawn down by maintenance jobs and reordered through purchasing.

  • Project phases and milestones

Projects carry dated phases and milestones, and high-risk work, plans and reports can be scoped to them.

  • Missed pre-start alerts

When a rostered shift starts without its pre-start or toolbox talk, the right people hear about it.

  • Follow-up for go with conditions

You decide what happens when a pre-start is marked go with conditions, from nothing at all to an action or a defect.

  • Entry checks for a named document or course

Entry checks name the exact document, form, course or licence type a person needs, picked from your own records.

  • Fitness checks for walk-up workers

Medical fitness is checked at the gate even for workers without an account, and their health details stay private.

  • Refused-entry alerts by site

Refused-entry alerts go to the people who run that site rather than the whole workspace.

  • Worker location on your terms

Worker location is switched on in the mode you choose, from consent only to emergencies and lone work only, with a warning where local law asks for more.

Worked example: a crew starts on a new project

A civil crew is mobilising to a road upgrade for the first time.

  1. Step 1: The project is ready

The readiness check lists the high-risk work for the job and confirms the plans, permits and inductions are in place.

  2. Step 2: Pre-start on the tablet

The supervisor runs the pre-start with the crew, records who attended and completes the excavator's pre-start check.

  3. Step 3: A defect is raised

The check finds a leaking hydraulic line. A defect is raised against that machine and goes to the maintenance lead.

  4. Step 4: The history stays with the machine

The repair, the sign-off and the next service date are kept on the excavator's record for the next crew.
