Contractors checked before they start, and kept current after.
Contractor companies prequalify through their own portal, upload their insurance and add their workers themselves. Licences, inductions and certificates are checked at the gate and on every permit, and anyone whose paperwork lapses is suspended until it is fixed.
Works on its ownContractor management works on its own, so if it is all you need it is all you buy, and every other part of Obliwise stays optional.
What contractor management includes
Everything below comes with it, ready on the first day and yours to change. 20 capabilities
Prequalification
Each company's prequalification status is tracked against the requirements for its work.
Contractor portal
Contractors keep their own details, documents, workers and permit requests current through their own portal.
Lapses suspend automatically
When a blocking requirement lapses, the company or worker is suspended until it is fixed.
Insurance and certificates of currency
Contractor insurance is tracked with certificates of currency and alerts before cover lapses.
Contractor companies and workers
Every contractor company and worker is on record with their documents, credentials and history.
Accreditations, contacts and company groups
Each contractor company holds an accreditation per work category with its own status, dates, evidence and history, several typed contacts, and a parent and subsidiaries reported separately or as a group.
Worker transfer between companies
A worker moves to another contractor company as one audited act that carries credentials and history, previews what changes and offers a site-access choice.
Duplicate warning on entry
When someone adds a person, company, worker or asset that looks like one already recorded, the form warns and offers the existing record, at the level each workspace sets.
Subcontractor chain
The chain of subcontractors under each head contractor is recorded and visible.
Workers added in bulk or by themselves
Workers are added from a spreadsheet or register themselves and receive their own sign-in link.
Performance scorecards
Each contractor gets a scorecard built from recorded incidents, audits, training, documents and feedback, which they can respond to.
Performance by site
Contractor performance is broken down by site as well as overall.
Modern slavery questions
Responsible procurement and modern slavery questions are part of prequalification.
Payment held until compliant
A contractor's compliance status flows to your purchasing and payment systems so payment can be held until they comply.
One account for contractors across clients
A contractor that subscribes keeps its records once and shares them, with consent, with each client it works for.
Checks before entry
Inductions, licences, medicals and site capacity are checked at the gate, so nobody starts work without what the site requires.
Licences and tickets
Licences, tickets and clearances are records with classes, conditions and expiry, checked wherever they matter.
Worker safety passport
Each worker carries a passport of their training and credentials that they can share and a supervisor can check.
Certificates anyone can check
Certificates are issued automatically and verified by anyone with a scan.
Crew qualifications checked
Every crew member's licences and training are checked before the permit is issued.

Worked example: an electrical contractor joins your approved list
A new electrical company is quoting for a fit-out.
Step 1: Prequalified through the portal
The company answers your prequalification questions, uploads its insurance certificates and names its subcontractors.
Step 2: Workers added once
The company adds its electricians in bulk. Each worker's licence and induction sit on their own record.
Step 3: Checked at the gate
When an electrician signs in, their licence, induction and the company's insurance are checked before entry.
Step 4: A lapse suspends automatically
When the public liability certificate expires, the company is suspended until a current one is uploaded.
