Everyone accounted for. Everyone told. One board for the event.

Emergency plans sit on the wall behind a code anyone can scan. When something happens, one broadcast goes out on every channel, roll call runs at the muster point from the live sign-in list, welfare checks follow up the people who have not answered, and the crisis team runs the event from one place.

Works on its ownEmergency and crisis management works on its own, so if it is all you need it is all you buy, and every other part of Obliwise stays optional.

What emergency and crisis management includes

Everything below comes with it, ready on the first day and yours to change. 13 capabilities

  • Roll call at the muster point

Roll call runs from the live on-site list, and people check themselves in by scanning a code.

  • One broadcast on every channel

One message reaches everyone by app, email, SMS, push, Slack and Teams, with delivery tracked.

  • Welfare checks

A welfare check asks people if they are safe, reminds those who have not answered and escalates to someone who can act.

  • Crisis management

A crisis team runs a major event from one place with roles, a log, decisions and communications.

  • Emergency plans on the wall

The plan for each site opens from a code on the wall, no login needed.

  • Drills

Drills are planned, run and recorded with lessons.

  • Escalation until someone responds

Alerts climb your escalation ladder until someone responds.

  • One board for the event

A live board brings the map, people, messages and responses for an event together.

  • Test broadcasts

Broadcasts can be rehearsed as tests without alarming anyone.

  • Alerts to your other systems

Alerts are also sent to your own systems through a webhook.

  • Business continuity

Critical operations, tolerances, continuity plans and their testing are managed in one place.

  • Scheduled check-ins for lone workers

People working alone check in on a schedule with a duress option, and a missed check-in is escalated.

  • Saved broadcasts and answer sets

Emergency messages and their answer options are saved and sent again in seconds.

Where it works

In the browser on any computer, and in these places too.

Worked example: an evacuation during a storm

A severe storm warning covers two of your depots.

  1. Step 1: One message on every channel

The duty manager sends one broadcast. It goes out by text, push and email at once, and the board shows who received it.

  2. Step 2: Roll call at the muster point

Wardens mark people present from the live sign-in list on their phones. Visitors and contractors are on the list too.

  3. Step 3: Welfare checks for the missing

People who have not answered are asked if they are safe, and anyone still silent is escalated to a named person.

  4. Step 4: The crisis team takes over

The crisis team logs decisions and communications on one board, and the continuity plan for the depots is opened.
