Privacy statement

How we handle personal information, in plain language. Effective 26 July 2026.

Who we are and what this covers

Obliwise provides a risk, compliance and safety management platform for organisations. This statement covers two different situations, because the law treats them differently.

  • This website and your enquiries. When you read obliwise.com or contact us, Obliwise decides how that information is handled, and this statement is the full story.
  • Customer workspaces. When an organisation uses the Obliwise platform, that organisation controls the information inside its workspace, including records about its own workers. We process that information on the instructions of the organisation under our subscription agreement and, where applicable, a data processing agreement generated inside the platform. If your employer uses Obliwise and you have a question about a record that concerns you, your employer is the right first contact, and we will help them respond.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where European or United Kingdom data protection law applies to information we hold, we honour the rights it gives you as described below.

What this website collects

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no third party trackers, stores nothing on your device, and makes no requests to third party services from your browser.

  • Contact and demonstration requests. If you submit our contact form we collect what you type: your name, work email, organisation, and optionally your role, number of locations, where you operate, what you are interested in, and your message. That is all the form sends.
  • Hosting logs. Like almost every website, the infrastructure that serves these pages records standard technical logs, such as IP address, time and the page requested, which we use only for security and to keep the website working.

Why we use it

We use contact details to respond to you, arrange the demonstration or trial you asked about, and follow up on your enquiry. Where European or United Kingdom law applies, we rely on your consent when you submit the form and on our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask to hear from us. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising profiles, and we will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Where enquiry details are stored

Enquiries are stored in a small, isolated enquiry system in our own hosting environment, deliberately separate from the platform that holds customer workspaces. Marketing enquiries never touch the infrastructure that holds customer data. Access is limited to the people at Obliwise who respond to enquiries.

Customer workspace data

Workspace data belongs to the customer organisation. In brief, with the full detail on ourtrust and security page:

  • Each workspace is held in a single region the customer chooses, and stays there. Australian workspaces are hosted in Sydney.
  • The infrastructure and service providers we use for the platform are listed openly on the trust and security page, together with what each one receives.
  • Health related records carry additional protection in the platform, including separate encryption keys, a recorded reason for each access, and a log of every read that cannot be edited afterwards.
  • AI features are off by default and run only when a customer switches them on. Text sent to any AI provider has personal identifiers removed first.
  • The platform includes the tools a customer uses to meet its own obligations to its people, including subject access exports and a right to erasure workflow.

How long we keep enquiry details

We keep contact enquiries while we are in a live conversation with you or your organisation, and remove stale ones periodically. If you would like your enquiry deleted at any time, use the contact form and choose 'An answer to a specific question'. We will do it promptly.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If European or United Kingdom law applies to you, you also have the rights it provides, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, use the contact form and choose 'An answer to a specific question'. We will respond within a reasonable period and never charge for a reasonable request.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first through the contact form and we will investigate and reply. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also contact your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this statement

If we change this statement we will update it here with a new effective date. We will not quietly weaken it: a change that reduces your protections will be called out plainly at the top of this page for a reasonable period.

How to reach us

Privacy questions of any kind go through the contact form. Choose 'An answer to a specific question', tell us what you need, and we will route it to the person who can answer.
