Module: People
Training and competency
Knowing the person about to do the work is trained for it, and being able to show it. Courses, sessions, assessment, certificates and licences in one place, tied to the roles and the work that require them.
What it does
Courses, delivered the way you deliver them
A course holds its own material: lessons, documents, videos and links, or an online package a learner works through on screen. Classroom and toolbox sessions are scheduled with a roster and the people enrolled on them.
Requirements that say who needs what
Rather than chasing individuals, you write the rule once: this role, in this business unit, at this location needs these courses. The platform then works out who is short, and a needs list shows the gap by person and by rule.
Assessment that proves competence
Written assessments are taken on screen and marked, and an assessor can record an observed practical for the work that can only be judged by watching it. Where a result is disputed there is an appeal path, and completion alone is never treated as competence.
Certificates that can be checked
A pass mints a certificate with its own number that can be printed or attached. Anyone handed one can confirm it is genuine on a public verification page, without an account and without ringing you.
Licences and tickets, not just courses
Credentials such as high risk work licences are held as their own records, with their classes, issuer, expiry and the checks you make on them. A current credential can be required before a permit is issued or before somebody is let in at the entrance.
Recognition of prior learning
Somebody who is already qualified submits their evidence and a reviewer accepts it, declines it or asks for more, so nobody sits a course they have already earned.
Programmes made of several steps
Where training is more than one thing, the steps are put in order into a package the learner works through, with the next step opening as the last one is finished.
Expiry handled before it bites
Each qualification carries its own refresh period, set by category and adjustable. Renewal is raised while the qualification is still valid, so the gap closes before the person is turned away.
How it fits with the rest
Training is held against people, and people are already in the platform with their role, business unit, location and project. That is what lets a requirement be written as a rule instead of a list, and what lets a gap be read by team, by contractor company or by project.
Competency is then used where the work happens. A permit can refuse to issue unless everyone named on it holds the training it calls for. Sign-in can stop a person at the entrance when an induction or a licence has lapsed. Contractor workers carry their qualifications on their own record and their employer maintains them through the contractor portal, so your register and theirs are the same register.
Follow-up runs on its own. Enrolments, renewals and reviews are raised to the right person with a due date, overdue work is escalated, and the record of who was trained in what, when, by whom and to what standard stays available for the auditor.
Ready-made content
A training record pack installs with the module: the record form, the lifecycle from drafted through verified and active to expiring and expired, a training certificate document, and the lists behind the fields such as course type, certification type and assessment type. An induction pack covers bringing somebody onto your operation, with hazards, protective equipment, reporting and amenities, a knowledge check, the inductee attestation, the inductor counter-sign and an induction certificate.
Toolbox talk packs supply short talks and a core set of topics ready to deliver and record. Licence packs supply the credential types your people carry, including high risk work licences for New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, and working with children checks for New South Wales, Victoria and the Queensland blue card. Everything installed is yours to edit, and your team or ours can add your own courses, assessments and requirements.
Change it if you need to
Every module comes ready to use. If your organisation records something differently, your own team can adjust the forms, fields and workflow, or ask us to do it with you. Nothing here requires a development project.
