Module: Governance
Projects
A project pulls the work, the people, the locations and the records into one place, so you can see the whole of a job instead of one slice of it at a time.
What it does
A record for the job itself
Each project has its own reference, name, status, dates and owner, and sits in a register you can filter, search, save views on, act on in bulk, and export or print exactly as it appears on screen.
The people on it, and when
Add the people working on the project with the role each one holds, drawn from your own list of project roles, and the dates they joined and left. Roles are chosen from the people already in the platform, never typed as free text.
More than one location
A project has a main location and as many additional delivery locations as the work actually covers, so a job spread across several premises is one project rather than several.
Everything raised against it
Incidents, risks, actions, permits and other records link to the project and appear on it, alongside a running view of recent activity, so the question of how this job is going has one honest answer.
High risk work activities
Record the high risk activities the job involves. Each one shows the requirements it triggers as met or not met, checked by the platform, and separately lists the controls the activity calls for as guidance for the crew, clearly marked as guidance rather than as something that has been verified.
Readiness before work starts
A completeness check shows what is in place on the project and what is still missing, item by item in words rather than as a colour, so a mobilisation meeting can work through the gaps.
A project safety plan you can hand over
Generate the project health and safety plan from what is already recorded, rather than retyping it into a document that is out of date the day it is issued.
How it fits with the rest
A project is a way of reading the platform, not a second copy of it. The people are the people directory, the locations are the same locations every other record uses, and the roles come from a list your organisation controls. Nothing is entered twice.
Records made anywhere else can be linked to the project and then read from it: the incidents that happened on the job, the risks that were assessed for it, the permits issued on it and the actions still open against it. The project register carries its own dashboard, so the reporting for a job sits with the job rather than in a separate spreadsheet a coordinator keeps by hand.
Ready-made content
Projects ship with their own register, forms and workflow working from the first day, and setup is guided rather than a blank page. The high risk work activity categories come with the statutory controls each activity calls for already written against them, and a health and safety plan template is provided so the first plan is generated rather than drafted.
Project statuses, the roles people hold and the activity categories are all lists your organisation owns. Rename them, add to them or narrow them to the way your industry talks, and every project register and report follows.
Change it if you need to
Every module comes ready to use. If your organisation records something differently, your own team can adjust the forms, fields and workflow, or ask us to do it with you. Nothing here requires a development project.
